Where and how is my data stored?

All user data and content is stored in the US on Google Cloud.

Some content (e.g: HTML pages) may be cached by GitBook's CDN in other countries to improve end-user performance.

How can I reset my password?

Please note, if your account was created after October 10th 2021, it doesn't have a password. You should be able to log in by requesting a magic link:

1. Visit https://app.gitbook.com

2. Enter the email address associated to the personal account you had signed up for

3. Click continue

4. Click send a link (make sure you check your spam folder)

If you do want to reset your password:

1. Visit https://app.gitbook.com

2. Follow the forgot your password? link at the bottom of the page

3. Enter the email address associated to the personal account you had signed up for

What browsers are supported by GitBook?

GitBook supports the current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge.

Does GitBook support RTL languages?

We have RTL support in mind, but it's not yet ready. For now, only paragraphs and headings will automatically detect RTL text and adapt its layout. Lists and other content blocks are not aligned properly. Also, you may have noticed a poor font quality being used for your language.
