Find your IDs

Find your organization, space, and site IDs

To use the GitBook API, you need your organization, space, and site IDs. All three appear directly in the GitBook app URL.

Organization and space IDs

When you're in a space, look at the URL in your browser. It follows this pattern:

https://app.gitbook.com/o/<organization_id>/s/<space_id>

For example, in https://app.gitbook.com/o/50mEth1Ng/s/RaNd0Mstr1NG:

  • The value after /o/50mEth1Ng — is your organization ID.

  • The value after /s/RaNd0Mstr1NG — is your space ID.

Site ID

Open the site in GitBook and look at the URL. It contains /sites/<site_id>.

For example, in a URL containing /sites/site_w0r1d, site_w0r1d is your site ID.
