# Subprocessors

When we share your information with third party subprocessors, such as our vendors and service providers, we remain responsible for it. We work very hard to maintain your trust when we bring on new vendors, and we require all vendors to enter into data protection agreements with us that restrict their processing of Users' Personal Information (as defined in the [Privacy Statement](/docs/policies/privacy-and-security/statement.md)).

<table><thead><tr><th>Name of Subprocessor</th><th width="311.66666666666663">Description of Processing</th><th width="260">Location of Processing</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Google Cloud / Firebase</td><td>Hosting and database infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Cloudflare</td><td>Hosting provider</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Planetscale</td><td>Database infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Clickhouse</td><td>Database infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Stripe</td><td>Subscription credit card payment processor</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>DocuSign</td><td>Contract signature processor</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Google Apps</td><td>Internal company infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Google Analytics</td><td>Website analytics and performance</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Intercom</td><td>Customer support ticketing system</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Sentry</td><td>Error analytics processor</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Amplitude</td><td>Customer analytics processor</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Segment</td><td>Customer analytics processor</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Castle.io</td><td>Security &#x26; Bots detection</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Bucket.co</td><td>Feature flagging</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Iframely</td><td>Embeds generation</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Sendgrid</td><td>Email infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>Turbopuffer</td><td>Search infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>MagicBell</td><td>Notifications infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr><tr><td>OpenAI</td><td>AI infrastructure</td><td>United States</td></tr></tbody></table>

When we bring on a new vendor or other subprocessor who handles our Users' Personal Information, or remove a subprocessor, or we change how we use a subprocessor, we will update this page.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://gitbook.com/docs/policies/privacy-and-security/security/subprocessors.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
